Job description

Job Title: 1st Class Structural Welder
Location: Houma, LA
Schedule: Night Shift | Full-Time


Summary

We are seeking an experienced 1st Class Structural Welder to perform high-quality welding on steel structures in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading blueprints, interpreting weld symbols, following strict safety standards, and producing code-quality welds that meet project specifications.


Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of structural welding experience
  • Proficiency in SMAW (Stick) and FCAW (Flux Core) welding processes
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols
  • Experience welding carbon steel
  • Ability to pass a weld test (6G or equivalent)
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Shipyard, offshore, or industrial fabrication experience
  • AWS certifications
  • MIG and TIG welding experience
  • Structural fitting and fabrication skills
