Night Auditor - 402150
Department: Rooms
Reports To: Front Office Manager/Director of Front Office Operations
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions, handling the front
desk duties during the overnight shift, and ensuring a smooth operation of the hotel during nighttime
hours. The role also involves providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform nightly audit of hotel transactions, ensuring that all financials are accurately balanced.
  • Check guests in and out, ensuring proper room assignments and handling guest requests efficiently.
  • Handle all guest inquiries, providing information about the hotel, its services, and the local area.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports to the management team.
  • Monitor the security of the hotel during the night, responding to any emergencies or disturbances.
  • Process all financial transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and ensuring proper posting to guest accounts.
  • Ensure proper communication with the next shift and management team, noting any issues or important information.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Provide wake-up calls and perform other guest services as needed.
  • Provide transport to and from Ontario airport. Must have clean driving record and a valid driver license
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of hotel equipment and systems, escalating issues to the appropriate department as necessary.
