Security Guard

Come join us at Lourdes Noreen-McKeen Residence!  A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1960.   We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. 

We are looking for a Security Guard - Full-Time

  • Full-Time -- 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
  • $15 to $16.50 per hour based on skills and experience 

Security Guard Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or the equivalent.
  • One (1) year experience experience in industrial security, preferably in a health care or hospital environment.

    Security Guard Job Summary: 

    • Follow policies and procedures to provide personal safety and protection for residents, employees, and visitors.
    • Complete a written security report, noting any unusual or out of the ordinary happenings.
    • Conduct bag and parcel checks on employees leaving the building.
    • Patrol building and parking areas according to established procedures.
    • Conduct scheduled security rounds, recording rounds at security clock stations; ensure rotation of round sheets.
    • Escort visitors and staff to outside parking areas during evening/night shifts or as required.
    • Open/close roll-down storm shutters at designated times.
    • Request employees to move their vehicles into the designated areas as assigned.
    • Monitor door alarms and security cameras while stationed at the switchboard.
    • Answer the switchboard during operator breaks and as scheduled during the evening/night shift.
    • Operate PBX console according to policies and procedures.
    • Distribute resident newspapers to appropriate floors.
