Job description

Lakeland Regional Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or APRN for our Orthopedic department working with our Orthopedic surgery team with focus on Orthopedic Trauma, but also general, sports medicine and joint replacement patients. The team member works collaboratively with the

Orthopedic Trauma surgeons and APP team while exercising a high degree of clinical autonomy.


There is extensive training and teaching provided before performing the role independently.

Shift: Mon - Sun / one week on and one week off / Day and Night Rotation




Responsible to the Operations Manager for clinical, operational, and administrative issues. Works as a member of a team committed to the purpose of providing the best patient experience and exceptional health care. Functions include assisting in the care of the orthopedic patients,

performing history and physicals, evaluating clinic and hospital patients, rounding on patients in the hospital, performing procedures, first assisting in surgery, dictating notes/H&Ps &discharge summaries, ordering tests and formulation of treatment plans. Must identify opportunities

for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost as well as patient satisfaction.
