Starting Pay: $18 per hour + differential pay

About Capitol:

Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho.

Schedule: SEASONAL - Loaders work four days per week on a Swing Shift (afternoon to night) with 1 weekend day required. Shifts will be 10 to 12 hours in duration. Employees will receive 3 consistent days off per week. This position is seasonal full time (Dependent on availability). Upon the close of the season permanent employment may be offered if performance was satisfactory throughout the seasonal period. Overtime may be required based on business needs and operational demands.

The Fulfillment Loading Clerks are responsible for the timely and accurate loading of product, produce, and misc. items ordered into our delivery trucks. An employee in this position is also responsible for verifying the quantity and quality of products placed in specified areas of the truck.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Load bananas in outbound trucks.
  • Load outbound trucks/routes in order of delivery schedule.
  • Free stack most products into trailers.
  • Operate loading equipment as needed.
  • Operate motorized equipment as needed (i.e. Forklift, Pallet Jack, Rider, Sky Jack, etc....)
  • Use scanner to track product as it is loaded.
  • Physically inspect products for quality before loading onto trucks.
  • Keep trucks and loading area clean/ organized.
  • Other warehouse duties assigned.

Qualifications:

 

  • Experience working in warehouse or large facility a plus
  • Experience loading or unloading product a plus. 
  • Ability to lift cases occasionally up to 70+ pounds.
  • Ability to handle loading equipment safely.
  • You must be 18 years old.
  • Full-time employees must be able to work occasional overtime upon request.

Working Conditions:

Warehouse Loaders at Capitol Distributing will work in the refrigerated area (30-38 degrees) of our warehouse loading delivery trucks. Loaders are the end point of our production line resulting in a consistent flow of product for the duration of the shift. This requires an individual in this position to work at a consistent fast pace over long durations of time. Loaders expect to frequently load/ unload automated belt floor stacking cases into trailer. Loaders frequently lift to 70+lbs. They frequently push/pull, walk, stoop, bend, twist, and lift which includes all ranges of motions. The individual will also be expected to follow and understand basic instructions/policies in a fast-paced environment.
