Job description

City Produce started in 1958 as a retail produce store in Fort Walton Beach, FL, specializing in premium fresh fruit, vegetables, specialty foods, and dairy. City Produce is supported by an amazing team of sales, customer service, procurement, and operations professionals.

At City Produce, our priority has always been to provide the highest quality products, delivered safely and on time. We provide our customers with web order entry, continuous cold chain management and peace of mind when it comes to food safety. We work every day to drive consistency in the areas most important to our customers: Customer Service, Quality, Food, Safety, Reporting, Technology.

Essential Functions:

  • Locate and select the specific warehouse items to fulfill the customer’s order
  • Load and unload items using machines, carts and dollies
  • Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks
  • Perform visual inspections of orders to ensure accuracy according to quantity, size, etc.
  • Wrap orders before loading on trucks
  • Maintain equipment and report on equipment malfunctions
  • Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, OSHA and Food Safety regulations
  • Ensure cleanliness and good housekeeping of the specific production line and surrounding general area throughout the shift

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • At least 1 year of recent and successful experience performing the above functions in a significant manufacturing or warehouse/distribution environment. Prefer that such experience is in the food industry

Work Schedule:

  • Night Shift: 8:00pm – 10:00pm start time - finish
  • Monday - Friday

Compensation:

  • $18.00/hour + Daily productivity incentive opportunities

Physical Demands:

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Frequent twisting and bending
