Location: Sandston, VA
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Are you an experienced Machine Operator or Production Operator looking for a stable opportunity with a growing manufacturing company? We are seeking dependable Machine Operators to join our production team in Sandston, VA. This position offers hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, safety, and teamwork are valued.
As a Machine Operator, you will play an important role in the envelope manufacturing process by operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, packaging finished products, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations. Whether you have experience as a Machine Operator, Manufacturing Associate, Production Associate, or Production Operator, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor envelope manufacturing equipment while maintaining established production and quality standards.
  • Perform Machine Operator duties safely and efficiently throughout each shift.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality control specifications and production requirements.
  • Check the previous shift's work for quality and accuracy and communicate any concerns to the Manufacturing Manager or machine adjuster.
  • Load and feed envelope blanks into the production machine using proper material handling and feeding techniques.
  • Assemble cartons and package finished products according to company procedures.
  • Label cartons accurately and prepare finished orders for shipment.
  • Stack completed cartons on pallets while maintaining an organized work area.
  • Assist machine adjusters with machine setups, troubleshooting, equipment adjustments, clearing jams, and preventative maintenance.
  • Complete production paperwork, quality documentation, and sample inspections as required.
  • Communicate equipment status, production updates, and quality concerns during shift changes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing work area by following all housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturing policies, and quality standards at all times.
  • Support other production and manufacturing tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operator, Manufacturing Associate, or in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to quality, productivity, and workplace safety.
  • Ability to read production documents, follow written instructions, and accurately complete production paperwork.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues is a plus.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including overtime when needed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for the majority of a 12-hour shift.
  • Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements throughout the workday.
  • Frequently reach, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work safely around moving manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain productivity while working in a fast-paced production environment.
