This is a CAREER opportunity with an international company this is expanding!Job Summary:The Machine Operator ensures safe, efficient, and sanitary operation of production equipment to meet quality and scheduling goals. Responsibilities include running and maintaining fillers, cappers, and related systems, performing routine cleaning (CIP), and following all safety, food handling, and environmental procedures. The role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Maintains a safe and secure work environment, including correcting unsafe acts/conditionsSupports implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the food safety and handling systemEnsures canning runs are completed in-full, on time, with no quality defects. Maintains and ensures adherence to sanitation practicesFollows all standard operating procedures (SOP's) for area of responsibility. Maintains fluid levels on fillersOperates fillers, cappers, rinsers, process systems and other equipment in the normal course of dutiesPerforms Clean-in-Place (CIPs) on various processing equipment and other cleaning tasks during shift, at end of shift, and at shutdownsFollows instructions from supervisors regarding policies and proceduresEffectively responds to directions during emergencies by understanding emergency procedures, equipment, and systems as necessary; Implements contingency plan to the level requiredComply with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wasteThis position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.Must ensure that the tray scale is set up and working according to the specificationsQualifications:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to: talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, grasp, pick, lift, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motionsAbility to frequently lift and /or move 50 poundsVisual acuity to perform an activity such as operating production machines where the job is at or within arm's reachMust wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practicesFour on, Four off schedules (Day Shift: 6:00AM-6:00PM, Night Shift: 6:00PM-6:00AM)Preferred SkillsAbility to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential mannerAbility to functionally operate a computerAble to work independently as well as working within a teamDemonstrates attention to detailTakes initiative; proactive instead of reactiveAdapts to ever-changing priorities, situations, and workflow
