Job description

SSM St. Joseph West in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a Nocturnist to join their established team. This role involves working exclusively overnight shifts, providing exceptional patient care in one of Missouri's fastest-growing communities. The position offers an opportunity for professional growth within a collaborative environment.

Practice Info

  • Well-established team of 16 Physicians and 6 APPs
  • Work alongside highly trained specialists across the continuum of specialties
  • Open ICU with full critical care support

Responsibilities

  • Manage admissions throughout the night in collaboration with the Advanced Practice Provider
  • Manage cross-coverage calls throughout the night in collaboration with the Advanced Practice Provider
  • Manage Rapid Responses throughout the night in collaboration with the Advanced Practice Provider
  • No procedures or code blue response required

Compensation

  • Full-time yearly base salary of $364,000
  • Productive and quality incentives are provided in addition to the base salary
  • Commencement bonus and relocation allowance provided

Shift & Schedule

  • Nocturnist shifts are set as 7 pm-7 am
  • Block scheduling is best
  • Current cadence is 7 shifts on and 7 shifts off

Requirements

  • Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule
  • Ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours
  • Board-certified or eligible in family medicine or internal medicine
  • All levels of experience considered; new graduates, residents, and fellows are welcome to apply
