Job Title: Night host โ€“ Morrisville Commons

Reports To: Commons Complex Manager

Department: Housing

Classification: Student

Job Summary As a SUNY Morrisville Night Host, you are a member of the Morrisville Commons Housing department. While on duty, you are the eyes and ears for Housing staff during late night hours. Your job is to notify CAs or the Complex Manager or University Police if you notice anything that might disrupt the community or
safety of students living within your residence hall.

Essential Functions:
  • Log and report all incidents that took place during your shift
  • Contact the CA on duty, Commons manager or University Police whenever it is appropriate and necessary for the safety and security of the building and residents.
  • Insure that the guests and visitors call their host from the call box and wait until the host arrives to escort them throughout the building.
  • All guests and visitors must be signed in. Night Hosts should ask for proper identification and make sure guests are signed in legibly.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a SUNY Morrisville Student
  • Maintain at least a 2.25 GPA
  • Remain in good judicial standing
  • Must reside in the building of which you work
