Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of Neonatal ICU or PICU Critical Care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in a NICU at a Level I trauma center and regional children's hospital in Savannah, GA.

- NICU (Neonatal) Respiratory Therapy unit at a 612-bed Level I trauma center and regional children's hospital in Savannah, GA
- Neonatal and pediatric patient population requiring advanced respiratory support
- Equipment used includes Servo-U & Drรคger VN500 ventilators, Fisher & Paykel Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Vaportherm, and heliox therapy
- Documentation via Epic EMR
- Night shift: 7:00 PM โ 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RRT license and certification required; license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of overall clinical experience as an RRT
- Minimum 1 year of Neonatal ICU or PICU Critical Care experience
- Must have active experience in the specialty within the last 6 months
- Certifications required: ACLS, PALS, and NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics, NRP Advanced 9th Edition) โ AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date
- Proficiency with Servo-U ventilator for independently admitting and managing vented pediatric patients
- Experience with heliox therapy (invasive and non-invasive), BiPAP, CPAP, Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide, and high-frequency ventilation
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Professional reference required (2 references required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Independently admit and manage ventilated patients in the Peds ICU using the Servo-U ventilator
- Set up and manage heliox therapy through invasive and non-invasive measures, and provide non-invasive ventilation including BiPAP and CPAP
- Provide neonatal respiratory support including Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide therapy, and high-frequency ventilation
- Hunter green scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility โ local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions
- Savannah, GA is a coastal city known for its Historic District, southern charm, and vibrant cultural scene
