- Weekly Hours: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shift Options: 4x12s from 19:00 - 07:30 with no call, or 3x12s from 19:00 - 07:30 with one 12-hour call shift every two weeks
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,870

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in South Carolina
- BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience
- At least 1 year of experience using Epic EMR
- Previous experience in NICU II and NICU III settings
- Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not being considered
- Ability to work night shift nursing schedules and participate in weekend coverage
- Comfort with floating to other qualified NICU units or facilities as needed
- Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, family-centered neonatal nursing care in a fast-paced NICU environment
- Monitor and care for babies as young as 22 weeks gestation and greater
- Manage complex diagnoses including respiratory distress, sepsis, hypoglycemia, HIE, drug exposure/withdrawal, and congenital anomalies
- Support advanced NICU therapies and procedures such as full body cooling, chest tube care, tracheostomy management, and surgical post-op care
- Administer medications and therapies safely, including blood products, antibiotics, antivirals, surfactants, and IV vasopressors
- Perform neonatal assessments, developmental care, thermoregulation support, and patient and family education
- Operate and manage specialized NICU equipment and ventilatory support systems
- Document accurately in Epic and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive patient outcomes
