Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday. No weekends/no holidays.

What You'll Do

Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Conducts intake on patients , vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and completes patient health history in the electronic medical record. Displays good decision making skills and has knowledge of anatomy and proficient in medical terminology. Must be able to multi task. May be required to draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, might be exposed to bodily fluids during patient care. Must be friendly, professional and able to keep a fast pace during clinic hours.

Responsibilities

Assists provider and/or nursing staff in providing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.

Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials; ensures cleanliness.

Greets patients and prepares them for the nurse and/or provider examination by taking them to the exam room and obtaining weight, temperature and blood pressure.

Helps patient with follow up appointment and/or referrals.

Efficiently utilizes the clinics data management system (electronic or manual) to maintain accurate patient records and utilizes NHS interface in a proficient manner.

Screen patients for appropriate information to enter in the records. Assures chart is accurate and complete.

Completes paperwork accurately, completely and in a timely manner.

Communicates pertinent data concerning the clients status with members of the health team to ensure continuity of care.

Ensures assigned office(s) provide a good customer experience as measured by PCA Question #2 Staff/Team Member Service Operations Marker.

Ensures assigned office(s) offer acceptable patient wait times as measured by PCA Question #3 Wait Time Operations Marker.

Ensures assigned office(s) provide an overall very satisfactory patient care experience as measured by PCA Question #6 Would Recommend Operations Marker.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 year clinic experience
