The Paramedic's primary purpose is to deliver timely, evidence-based emergency and non-emergency medical care to individuals experiencing illness or injury, ensuring patient safety and well-being from initial assessment through transport to a healthcare facility. This role encompasses rapid evaluation, stabilization, and treatment using advanced life support techniques, while functioning as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team. The Paramedic advocates for patients and their families, adheres to established medical protocols and legal standards, and maintains readiness through continuous training and equipment management. By combining clinical expertise with compassionate care, the Paramedic supports both immediate health needs and broader community health objectives.

We are currently staffing for a PRN Paramedic for one of our industrial clients in Sulphur, LA. All candidates must be able to reliably commute to work site for scheduled shifts. The candidate would need to be available for 12 hour shift coverage during the week and weekends (6:00AM - 6:00PM)

As a Paramedic, you'll be at the forefront of emergency medical care, making a real difference when it matters most. In this dynamic role, you'll respond to urgent situations with confidence and skill, delivering life-saving treatment and compassionate support:

  • Operate advanced ambulance equipment and respond promptly to radio transmissions, ensuring rapid and effective emergency response.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with your team and other emergency services to coordinate care during critical incidents.
  • Provide expert emergency care, including both basic and advanced life support, and apply Advanced Trauma Life Support principles in complex trauma cases.
  • Assist with routine medical cases when not on emergency calls, supporting physicians and clinical leaders as needed.
  • Stay prepared through regular training and emergency drills, maintaining peak readiness at all times.
  • Safely transport patients to hospitals or healthcare facilities, monitoring their condition en route and reporting changes to medical providers.
  • Conduct thorough on-scene assessments, perform preliminary diagnoses, and document vital signs, medical history, and treatment plans.
  • Establish patient care goals and implement evidence-based interventions within your licensed scope of practice.
  • Deliver a wide range of pre-hospital treatments—from first aid and CPR to administering medications, oxygen, and advanced procedures.
  • Proactively manage patient needs, including catheter insertion, specimen collection, EKGs, wound care, and IV medication administration.
  • Support patients with basic care and daily living activities when required, ensuring dignity and comfort.
  • Utilize cutting-edge medical technology to stabilize patients and provide immediate treatment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and submit detailed incident reports in compliance with protocols and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with police, fire units, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective emergency response.
  • Keep your skills sharp through continuous education and training on new treatments and procedures.
  • Promote patient health through education and advocacy, empowering individuals to make informed decisions.
  • Manage and restock medical supplies to ensure readiness for every call.
  • Cross-train to support clinics, emergency rooms, and inpatient units, expanding your impact across the continuum of care.

The Talent We're Looking For

  • Minimum of three (3) years of paramedic experience
  • Experience in a clinic setting (urgent care, emergency room, etc.)
  • Occupational Medicine experience preferred.
  • Paramedic Louisiana State Certification or Nationally Registered
  • ACLS
  • BLS

Required Languages

• Excellent written and oral English
