Job Overview

The NF Processing Manager (RONFM) reports to the General Manager and leads the nonferrous (NF) receiving, processing, and shipping operations. The role focuses on safety, operational excellence, equipment reliability, inventory management, and personnel leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and OSHA requirements.
  • Develop and maintain NF Standard Operating Procedures and safety training programs.
  • Direct daily NF operations, equipment scheduling, and personnel coordination to support purchasing, processing, and loading activities.
  • Maintain and improve the physical layout of NF production areas to optimize workflow and storage.
  • Inspect equipment, submit maintenance work orders, and manage purchase orders to sustain operational performance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct monthly physical counts, and collaborate with commercial operations to reduce carrying costs.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate NF staff, ensuring compliance with HR policies and union agreements.
  • Support the company's Internal Control program and communicate operational concerns to senior management.
  • Execute special projects as directed and respond to emerging safety or process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum 5 years of experience in the metal recycling industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Strong knowledge of NF material grading, safety practices, and process improvement techniques.
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in supervising personnel and preparing job descriptions is a plus.
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in variable outdoor conditions.
