The Teaching Associate 3 candidate will provide teaching support for the laboratory courses offered primarily through the Introductory Biology Program in the Department of Biological Sciences. The person in this role will teach sections of laboratory courses taught through the Introductory Biology Program, prepare the materials for the course, and set up classrooms for each week's experiments and laboratory exercises. This position reports to the Associate Chair for Introductory Biology.

Duties Include:
45% Teach up to four sections of laboratory courses offered through the Introductory Biology Program each fall, spring, and summer term.

45% Assist with the preparation of course materials and set up of laboratory classrooms each fall, spring, and summer term.

10% Assist with tasks for the laboratory courses determined by the Introductory Biology Laboratory Coordinators and the Associate Chair for Introductory Biology as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, or relate Life Sciences field.

3 years of related experience; experience gained in graduate program in biological sciences acceptable.

The following job competencies are required:

Beginner in being Familiar with basic biological sciences laboratory techniques.

Proficient in using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point.
