We are hiring a Principal AI/ML Analyst & Developer to design, build, and deploy scalable AI, data, and applications across the enterprise. You will work end-to-end (data ingestion modeling API/UI production monitoring) on various projects using Azure, Databricks, modern web frameworks, and Timken enterprise systems, including internal Gen AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead end-to-end AI/ML projects: review requests, understand/define problems with stakeholders, prepare data, develop and validate models, deploy to production, and monitor performance. 
  • Build scalable data engineering solutions on Azure / Databricks.
  • Design, develop, and maintain production applications and APIs.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization consistent with Timken policy.
  • Manage and govern internal Gen AI systems and associated MCP tooling.
  • Ensure observability, transparency, and governance for models and data products.
  • Mentor and train associates; collaborate with product owners; present technical results to business stakeholders.

  • Backend - Python, Model Context Protocol / Tool Development
  • Cloud - Azure Data Platform, Blob Storage, Entra ID
  • Repo / Containers - Git, Azure DevOps, Docker
  • Data Storage - Postgres / SQL Server / Databricks 

Preferred Skills: 

  • ERP - SAP (ECC, BAPI/OData/IDocs, S/4HANA)
  • Observation - Langfuse
  • Management - Terraform, AKS, Kubernetes 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
  • 7+ years building production software or AI/ML solutions; experience spanning both data and AI/ML preferred.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with core technologies listed above.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple organizational messaging that clearly articulates business impact. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Master's degree or higher. 

This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data ("CTD") and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR).  Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
