Job description


About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marketing Office on Moody AFB. Guaranteed 0 hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. May be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in graphic design and experience working with layout and photo editing programs. Hands-on experience on inhouse creation of literature, advertising, posters, brochures, newspaper print, mass newsletter creation, PowerPoint presentations and web. Expected to be versatile and proficient in a wide variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design and Adobe Acrobat). A Bachelor's in Fine Arts Design or related field is desirable, but not required. Experience with digital photography and videography is desirable. Experience working with commercial printers is desirable. Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading skills are required. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment that is deadline oriented.
