Job description

Content & Brand Marketing Manager — Cruva

Los Angeles · Hybrid · Reports to the CEO

Cruva is the operating system for 1,400+ DTC brands selling on TikTok Shop. We are hiring our first dedicated marketing hire to build the brand from the ground up.

THE OPPORTUNITY

TikTok Shop is the fastest-growing commerce platform of the last decade. It is rewriting how consumer brands are being discovered, and the brands winning on it are scaling from zero to eight and nine figures of GMV in months. Most of the operational infrastructure those brands need does not exist yet — and Cruva is building it.

We work with 1,400+ DTC brands, from multi‑seven‑figure to nine‑figure operations, running their affiliate programs, creator relationships, sample seeding, payouts, and GMV attribution at scale.

We are doing multi‑millions in ARR, profitable, bootstrapped, and based in Los Angeles. We are growing several‑fold in 2026 as the category gets built in real time.

This is the year we go big on brand and content. We need someone to lead that work.

THE ROLE

You will own how Cruva shows up in public — newsletter, case studies, social channels, our quarterly report, and brand moments.

If you have been a content lead at a creator‑economy SaaS, an influencer or creator agency, an ecommerce growth agency, or a creator‑led DTC brand, this seat will feel familiar.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Write the Cruva newsletter — editorial calendar, drafting, ship on cadence, grow the list
  • Build customer case studies — interview the brands and creators behind our biggest wins, develop them into stories operators forward to each other
  • Run Cruva's social channels — LinkedIn (primary), TikTok, Instagram. Voice, production, repurposing.
  • Distribute Sebastian's content — he writes the LinkedIn posts and long‑form pieces; you edit, schedule, repurpose into clips and threads, and syndicate
  • Produce the Cruva TikTok Shop Index — our quarterly proprietary data report. Drive design, copy, launch, and distribution end‑to‑end.
  • Ship lead magnets — at least one free tool, report, or template per quarter
  • Run podcast and show production once launched
  • Own brand moments and event marketing — TikTok Shop Summit, partner events, customer dinners
WHO YOU ARE
  • 2 to 5 years of marketing experience inside the creator economy or ecommerce — at a creator‑economy SaaS, an influencer or creator agency, an ecommerce or Amazon growth agency, or a creator‑led DTC brand
  • A strong writing portfolio. Half this role is writing — newsletters, case studies, founder content, campaign copy. We ask for samples and weigh them heavily.
  • A storytelling instinct — the ability to find the narrative inside a messy customer interview and produce a piece worth forwarding
  • Fluent, disciplined use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, and category‑specific products), with clear opinions on which is best for which task. Taste filters every output before it ships.
  • Production discipline — you brief designers, edit short‑form video, run projects to deadlines, and learn unfamiliar tools without supervision
  • Comfort executing against a defined strategy. Sebastian sets direction; you make it real.
  • Los Angeles‑based. This role is hybrid at our office in Century City.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

By month three:

  • The newsletter shipping on cadence with a measurable subscriber growth trajectory
  • Two to three customer case studies live and in distribution
  • Social channels publishing consistently in a clear, recognizable voice
  • One free tool or lead magnet shipped and capturing leads
  • Each of Sebastian's posts distributed and repurposed across at least two additional channels
  • A production calendar Sebastian trusts without daily input

By month six, Cruva has a recognizable brand voice in the TikTok Shop ecosystem that did not exist before you joined.

COMPENSATION AND LOGISTICS
  • $85,000 to $135,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Meaningful early‑stage equity
  • Health benefits and PTO
  • Los Angeles, in person at our office regularly
  • Reports to Sebastian, CEO
