Job description

Life Enrichment Assistant

The Life Enrichment assistant plans, coordinates and implements programs, events, trips and celebrations for clients that provide physical, social, intellectual and spiritual development opportunities for clients to participate in.

Essential Functions
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement engaging programs, activities, and outings that encourage client participation.
  • Prepare and distribute a monthly activity calendar, incorporating nationally recognized holidays and special events.
  • Collaborate with managers, staff, and community partners to develop meaningful programs and volunteer opportunities.
  • Write and edit the community newsletter and prepare quarterly surveys to gather client feedback.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, community organizations, and service agencies.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives, including tours, open houses, and special events.
  • Participate in ongoing dementia training and apply best practices in programming.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in planning and implementing programs and events. 
  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to approximately 30 lbs. or more.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college or related training preferred.
  • Experience in working with senior adults; knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs and concerns of the senior population.
