Marketing Content Specialist

At New Energy Equity, the Marketing Content Specialist is the creative engine behind how we connect with the people and communities we are a part of. This role is responsible for developing compelling content that resonates with landowners, stakeholders, and internal audiences across a variety of channels, including blog, video, website, social media, and sales collateral. The Marketing Content Specialist also supports internal communications, company events, direct mail campaigns, and paid digital marketing efforts.

Job Duties

Content Development

  • Develop and write engaging blog content tailored to landowners and local communities
  • Coordinate video content that brings New Energy Equity's projects, people, and impact to life
  • Manage and update website content, collaborating with our web design partner on updates as needed
  • Create sales collateral and supporting materials to help the Land Development team effectively engage landowners
  • Generate case studies, mailers, and other written content about energy generation tailored to landowners and local communities

Organic Social Media

  • Establish strategy and cadence for organic social media across all New Energy Equity accounts
  • Design, schedule, and manage social content for all audiences
  • Monitor performance and apply key learnings to continuously improve engagement

Internal Communications and Events

  • Lead internal company communications, including the monthly company newsletter, office screens, and Town Hall content development
  • Create marketing collateral and provide on-site support for company events, including the annual Golf Tournament and Summer Solarbration
  • Support cross-functional campaigns and initiatives, including the Lift As We Climb Foundation and NEE-owned companies.

Direct Marketing

  • Execute targeted direct mail marketing programs to landowner audiences
  • Coordinate A/B testing to optimize campaign performance
  • Manage external vendor relationships to ensure timely and effective campaign execution

Paid Digital Marketing

  • Support the execution of digital ad campaigns targeting landowner audiences
  • Track performance, analyze results, and apply learnings to future campaigns
Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sustainability or a related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant marketing experience with content creation and communicating across a variety of different platforms, channels, and audiences
  • Experience with social media strategy and managing accounts across multiple platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Experience using LLMs (such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools) to assist with drafting written and visual content
  • Ability to design basic content and graphics through Canva and/or Adobe products (Express, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • High level of proficiency with M365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms)
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects
  • Interest in or experience with the renewable energy industry

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with video production, editing, or coordination
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot, or other marketing CRM/automation platforms

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $55,000-65,000 encompassing base pay and potential incentive target opportunity. This range is a good faith estimate based on the position's requirements. Specific compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary depending on factors such as relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, this position may qualify for a comprehensive benefits package, including Retirement Benefits, Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Life Insurance and Disability, Tuition Reimbursement, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and more.
