Architectural Specifications Writer

Direct Hire – Hybrid | Minneapolis, MN or Phoenix, AZ | $80k-$110k

Konik has partnered with an Architectural firm in the Minneapolis area seeking an Architectural Specifications Writer. The Architectural Specifications Writer will prepare project manuals and specifications for commercial building projects. This position requires a thorough knowledge of architectural building systems, products, and materials.

Architectural Specifications Writer Responsibilities include:

  • Review drawings and coordinate with the architectural team to write and assemble specifications
  • Coordinate with engineering, clients, and contractors to incorporate their requirements into project manuals
  • Perform material, product, and building systems research and act as a resource to project teams with respect to material and system selections

Architectural Specifications Writer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Construction
  • 3+ years of experience preparing architectural specifications for commercial building projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial building construction
  • Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and familiarity with MasterSpec; SpecsIntact knowledge is ideal
