Responsibilities

Assistant Human Resources Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with plant hiring, terminations, disciplines, payroll and records keeping
  • Maintain the training programs, insurance policies, company benefits
  • Be able to handle all administrative actions in HR- i.e. Kronos, Payroll, Attendance policy/bonus, benefits, newsletter and other policies
  • Maintain company Vacations, daily reports, monthly reports, quarterly reports
  • Manage other projects needed by Human Resource Manager
  • Present write ups for attendance, tardiness and performance issues if necessary
  • Ensure compliance with Agency, State and Federal policies, procedures and regulations
  • Provide guidance/assistance to employees and supervisors on HR policies
  • Confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA
  • Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Assistant Human Resources Manager Position should possess the following:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, but not required
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in the food distribution or warehouse industry
  • Knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)and HR software (e.g., iCIMS, UKG, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Basic office and math skills
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with National Beef Liberal facility and company policies preferred

Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
