What we're looking for:
A skilled Set-Up Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair machinery used in the Personal Care industry (piston fillers, cappers, tube fillers, coders, labelers, etc.).
How you'll fit in:
As our Set-Up Mechanic, you will be responsible for the set-up and maintenance of production lines. You'll repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as fillers, cappers, in-line labelers, coders, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines and mechanical systems.
What you'll do:
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
  • Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Repair or replace defective parts
  • Install special functional and structural parts in devices
  • Lubricate and clean parts
  • Start a device to test its performance
  • Repair electrical equipment
  • Change over equipment within predetermined standard of time
  • Assist and train other mechanics in the performance of their duties
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
  • Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components

What you have:
  • Experience working as a mechanic in a personal care, cosmetic, or other manufacturing environment
  • Manual dexterity and great attention to detail
  • The ability to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions
  • Very good communication skills and problem-solving ability
  • History of completing all tasks and assignments in a safe and timely manner
