Position Overview

A New Start Counseling, LLC is seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dedicated team. This full-time, remote position focuses on supporting individuals facing mental health challenges, particularly those in detox and recovery settings.   • Conduct thorough client assessments, ensuring accurate and consistent documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, while assessing client needs and progress.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health resources, coping strategies, and support systems available within and outside of the detox facility.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay informed about advancements in clinical social work and addiction recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clients served in this remote role consist of individuals undergoing detoxification from substances, often accompanied by co-occurring mental health disorders. Understanding the nuances of this patient population is essential, as many clients exhibit complex behavioral patterns and significant psychological distress. Your role will be pivotal in stabilizing clients, assisting them in navigating crises, and equipping them with strategies for long-term recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • An active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Nevada.
  • Proven ability to evaluate client needs effectively and formulate appropriate treatment interventions.
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster collaboration among interdisciplinary teams and provide clear, empathetic client interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in mental health settings or substance use treatment.
  • Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing documentation and client information.
