Job description

New Riff is looking for an energetic, engaging, and passionate team member to join the FOH team as a Barback/Brand Ambassador for our, Aquifer Tasting Room. We are looking for a part-time Barback who is dedicated to putting guests first, values teamwork, and possesses an insatiable curiosity. Hours of Operation (not including in and out times for opening/closing for staff)
Tuesday-Thursday-11-7pm
Friday, Saturday-11-8pm
Sunday-11-5pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operating under a hospitality-first mindset, create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive experience for all guests and teammates
  • Commitment to showing up for our guests and for each other by being punctual, reliable, communicative, and present
  • Standard operating procedures of opening and closing duties to set and reset the stage for service
  • Dedication to becoming a subject matter expert on everything New Riff - our products and the industry as a whole.
  • Assist bartenders in preparing and serving cocktails by restocking supplies, ice, glassware, and prepping cocktail ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and order behind the bar, including the washing and polishing of glassware.
  • Ensure that the bar area is stocked and ready for service.
  • Dispose of empty glassware and used items promptly.
  • Assist in the cleaning and organization of the bar and back-of-house areas.
  • Prepare and run items from our light bites menu
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of food orders to guests.
  • Carefully handle food orders to maintain quality and presentation.
  • Communicate with servers and bartenders to ensure seamless service and address any special guest requests.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, attentive, and responsive to guest needs.
  • Provide support for any additional tasks assigned by bar leadership

COMPENSATION:
Starting Hourly $15 per hour plus tip out from Bar
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a barback or in a similar support role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • A positive and friendly attitude when interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Willingness to take direction from bar and kitchen staff.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be available to work at least two shifts per week, with weekend availability (Saturdays and Sundays) required.
