Responsibilities

Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the overall administration of the program including the planning, directing, and coordinating of all program activities. This position also assists with selecting and training staff, monitoring program effectiveness, coordinating invoices, submitting required reports and managing required contract services. Finally, this position will oversee all Community Resource Center operations in the absence of the Program Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision of the work activities and assignments of Case Managers.
  • Ensures that all clerical, record keeping, data collection, data entry, file maintenance and storage, supply inventory maintenance and ordering, and business machine maintenance and repairs are accomplished as required.
  • Monitors the progress of program participants, suggests intervention techniques to Case Managers, communicates with representatives of the agency responsible for supervision, and informs participants when corrective measures are necessary.
  • Governs casework documentation and ensures participants are receiving the services identified in their Individualized Treatment Plans.
  • Helps provide supervision, direction, and oversight of Community Resource Center staff in the performance of data collection, billing, account reconciliations, reimbursements, and expense reports.
  • Tracks and reports employee hours, leave, and benefit time for payroll purposes.
  • Assists the Program Manager in all HR duties and functions. Maintain personnel files, as required by Company policies and procedures, and enter employee data into the Company's systems of records.
  • Develops schedules, contingency plans, policies, and procedures related to office operations and HR with the approval of the Program Manager to ensure all operations and HR needs are met in an efficient, cost-effective, timely, and successful manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, or related field and two (2) years of experience working with a criminal justice population. Baccalaureate Degree in Social Work, a master's degree in Social Work or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.
  • Additional experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis or possess six (6) cumulative years of full-time administrative experience with a criminal justice population.
  • Understanding of a variety of models including cognitive behavioral therapy, theories of addiction and dynamics related to substance use and other criminogenic risk factors.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of family, social networks, and community systems in the treatment and recovery process. Knowledge and the ability to comply with program documentation requirements,applicable ethical and professional standards of conduct. Ability to provide services appropriate to the personal and cultural identity and languageof the participant.
  • Ability to tailor program services to the Participant's stage of dependence, change, or recovery.
  • Ability to appropriately use strategies from accepted and culturally appropriate models with participants with substance use and other criminogenic risk factors.
  • Ability to establish rapport with participants, including management of crisis and determination of need for additional professional assistance.
  • Possession of the case management skills necessary to implement the case plan, ability to consult as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and assess ongoing treatment planning efficacy.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software.
