• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, ensuring an accurate understanding of their challenges and needs.
• Develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with each client, taking into account their unique circumstances and goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively treat mood disorders.
• Educate and support clients and their families about mood disorders, crafting strategies for coping and promoting resilience.
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, continuously adapting treatment plans based on evolving needs.
• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated care to clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest research and therapeutic innovations in the field of mental health.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and share best practices.
• Serve as an advocate for clients, working to raise awareness and reduce stigmatization of mood disorders within the community.

In this role, you will primarily focus on children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges, particularly those related to mood disorders. Your expertise will significantly contribute to their emotional and psychological development, providing them tools to navigate their experiences and thrive in their school and personal lives.

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
• Extensive knowledge of evidence-based treatment strategies for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.
• Comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology, alongside the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated history of effective treatment outcomes in managing mood disorders.
• Outstanding communication skills, enabling strong rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, ideally working with school-aged clients.
• Experience in crisis intervention and management.
• Familiarity with remote therapy technologies and tools.
