IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering New Graduate in Greenwood Village, CO. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one. You will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants to support engineering solutions and advice that drive positive outcomes.

In this role, you will assist with engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and project coordination while working within project budgets and collaborating across disciplines to meet project goals and client expectations. Supporting municipal and transportation work, you will contribute to water, stormwater, street, and public-works efforts while helping deliver resilient, environmentally responsible infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading design.
  • Perform basic calculations based on assignment, i.e. hydraulic calculations, traffic projections, piling or rebar calculations, or calculations to balance site earthwork.
  • Assist in designing water and sewer systems for smaller private and larger municipal systems.
  • Assist with grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, communicate technical information effectively, and build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
  • Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects, and assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress.
  • Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions, and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.
  • Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements.
  • Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of engineering work, interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Basic skills or knowledge with AutoCAD Civil 3Dsoftware and the ability to complete AutoCAD training sessions as quickly as possible
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
  • Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises

  • Recent work includes Town of Morrison On-Call Engineering, Government; City of Golden Streets & Utilities, Government; and Castle Pines Metro District Water & Tank, Water/Wastewater.

State of Colorado Salary Range: $70,000.00- $74,500.00 per year

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location.

Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate's experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.
