Job Summary
The Software Engineer - AI/ML at SHI International collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and maintain software solutions, applying diverse programming languages and technologies. This role involves developing new features, resolving complex technical issues, maintaining high-quality code, and supporting CI/CD processes to ensure code stability and security. The engineer also creates technical documentation, adapts to dynamic environments, and works independently or collaboratively to drive software development and integration efforts.
This position is required to report to the Somerset, NJ or Austin, TX location on a hyrbid basis.
Role Description
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain software solutions using diverse programming languages and technologies
  • Design, develop, and implement new software features or modifications to existing software based on functional requirements
  • Identify and address complex technical issues efficiently through keen problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • 5+ Years of experience with the following programming languages: Python, SQL, JavaScript
  • 5+ years of experience writing high-performance, thread-safe code that allows for serving requests in sub-millisecond times
  • 5+ years of experience debugging difficult live site problems and building automation to run a high-scale service distributed system.
  • 5+ years of experience developing applications in Azure or AWS.
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Advanced AWS or Azure Certification preferred
  • Ability to travel 10%

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
