Position Summary
Senior Software Developer (Multiple Positions)
Job Description Summary:
Monitor interfaces and processes in production systems for errors, performance and any other abnormality. Provide first level support for assigned software applications. Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by users of these modules and applications. Investigate issues using vendor support website(s). Create tickets or service requests with software vendor. Develop fixes and changes to programs to resolve issues. Investigate setup or configuration changes required software applications. Work with other team members, DBA and SA teams to resolve issues. Work with Business Process Owner(s) to test and make changes to software applications. Develop new programs or makes changes to existing programs, according to business requirements. Develop test scripts and Tests programs according to business requirements. Perform unit, system and integration testing and participate in capacity and performance testing of an application. Create test prototypes. Conduct and participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Perform data loads and write technical documentation. Work with Business Process Owners to investigate new functionality and work on software application upgrades.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field of study and five (5) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must also have demonstrated experience in the following: Oracle Discrete Manufacturing, Oracle Work in Process (WIP), Oracle Bill of Materials (BOM) and Oracle Inventory; Oracle R12 development tools: Forms/Reports Development Suite, Oracle Alerts, BI Publisher, (SQL Developer or Toad), Putty and FTP tools (Filezilla or WINSCP); Advanced Development experience in Unix or Windows environment; Interfacing with other applications using Web Services, APIs, flat file transfers or database links; Two full life cycle implementations of applicable software applications or upgrades; and Designing and developing custom software applications.
