Job description

New Graduate Registered Nurse

Allina Health hires new graduate RNs to join our team in providing care that is patient centered, collaborative in nature and exceptional in quality. We have one application for new graduates with less than 1 year of RN work experience. Allina is dedicated to supporting our new graduate RNs with a precepted orientation and New Grad Nurse Residency Program for the first several months of professional practice as you make the transition from student, to professional nurse. This program aims to create a sense of community by bringing individuals together to discuss key areas of professional nursing practice. Program content includes Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice, Information Technology, Clinical Ethics, Wellbeing, Conflict Resolution, Medication Safety, Culture of Safety, and Quality Improvement, and is brought to our residents from key team members across the system. We are a not-for-profit, women-led health care system, one of the largest employers in Minnesota and an organization committed to our values of compassion, integrity, excellence and teamwork.

Key Position Details:

Application Requirements:

  • We define a new graduate as a registered nurse with less than 1 year of RN work experience.
  • Please include a current, detailed copy of your resume.

Weekends may be every other or every third. FTEs for new graduates are often 0.75-0.9 (60-72 hours per two-week pay period). The work schedule details are determined during the job offer and are dependent on what positions are available at that time.

Pay:

  • Pay for RNs in the hospital follows the union step scale which factors in degree and length of service. The current base rate at our metro hospitals for a bachelor's prepared new grad nurse is $46.20/hour. Specifics around pay including shift, weekend, and/or float differentials would be discussed at the time of the job offer.
