Our Medical-Surgical nurses provide care to a wide patient population with a variety of medical issues. Nurses with this specialty have a broad knowledge base and are experts in their practice. Medical-surgical nurses have advanced organizational, prioritization, assessment, and communication skills. This specialty can be the foundation for your nursing career.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
- S1400 is a 24-bed acute care nursing unit that provides care to medical patients that may or may not require telemetry monitoring. This unit cares for a wide variety of medical issues, including Alzheimer's/dementia, psych, sepsis or other advanced infections, fall/syncope, palliative/ hospice, stroke, COVID-19, cardiac diagnosis: atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, etc.
- Our unit population consists of patients ages 20 to geriatrics. In addition to inpatient status, the staff also monitors and cares for patients who have been placed in an observation or outpatient extended stay status.
- Part Time Night 7 PM - 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
