Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Phlebotomist - Clinical Lab Assistant to work part time days in Central Testing at Sentara Leigh Hospital.

Overview

As a phlebotomist-clinical lab assistant the duties are to perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing. Responsible for registration and test data entry. Monitors supply levels.

Education

Certification/Licensure

  • Phlebotomy certification (Preferred)

  • BLS required within 90 days of hire

Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016, including two new patient towers, a beautiful atrium, and a multi-story parking garage. We are also home to the region's only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning, wounds that won't heal, infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen, airborne chemical exposures, and scuba diving accidents.
