Job description

Open Systems Technologies Corporation is looking for a Data Engineer to join our high performing cyber team in support of a large government enterprise environment.

Required Skills:

  • Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to sit for the CI Poly
  • Requires BS or BA degree.
  • Eight Years of total IT experience required.
  • The engineer will work with specified open-source technologies, as well as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) technologies, to create an application that generates manageable and actionable intelligence from streams of structured and semi-structured data.
  • Responsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application to include: developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software; facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, as well as using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies; and establishing an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of a structured and semi-structured data.
  • Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.
  • Design and construct large relational databases.
  • Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality.

Experience Required:

  • At least 8 years in a data architect or data engineer role
  • Experience with developing ETL processes/pipelines
  • Experience with modeling complex data structures of varied formats
  • Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats and support project team to scale, monitor and operate data platforms

Preferred Experience:

  • CRIBL experience
  • Splunk Experience
  • MS Sentinel Experience
  • We're looking for someone experienced in building out data pipelines utilizing Splunk/Cribl or other similar SIEMs/ETL tools
