This position requires a Top Secret clearance and onsite work in Huntsville, Alabama at Redstone Arsenal $3,000 Relocation Available: Senior Data Engineer (Huntsville, AL) Make a real impact by supporting IT modernization, safeguarding national security, and enabling mission-critical law enforcement. Join a team advancing workplace solutions, business applications, and infrastructure for high-stakes government programs. Kforce seeks a Senior Level Data Engineer to deliver advanced visual analytic applications and data solutions. You’ll design and optimize data analytics for desktop and web platforms, enabling bulk analysis of relational information using advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing. Leverage open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies to transform structured and semi-structured data streams into actionable intelligence. Key Responsibilities:
• Design strategies for enterprise database systems; set standards for operations, programming, and security
• Build and optimize large relational databases and data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using modern frameworks
• Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structures; refine performance and functionality
• Engineer advanced analytics solutions for high-volume environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure data solutions
• Support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for analytics platforms
Preferred/Bonus Experience: AWS, Databricks, AI/ML, LLMs, Python, Java Qualifications:
• 8+ years relevant data engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or 4 additional years of experience
• Proven expertise in enterprise environments
• Experience with large-scale database design, ETL/ELT, and data pipeline development The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
