Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a Data Analyst to collect, analyze, and visualize data to support client decision making and operational improvements. You will work with stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical approaches and deliver clear, actionable insights.
This position is located in Arlington, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Gather, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Develop dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Translate stakeholder needs into analytical requirements and documented business rules.
Present findings and recommendations through clear written deliverables and briefings.
Partner with data engineers/data architects to support data definitions, lineage, and reporting consistency.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
0-4 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence.
Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating data.
Experience with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
Strong analytical, problem solving, and attention to detail skills.
Ability to communicate technical results to non technical stakeholders.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Experience working with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Experience with Python or R for data analysis/automation.
Experience with statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression) and KPI design.
Prior experience supporting federal/government clients (if applicable).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $51,600.00 $121,100.00.
