Outside Sales Representative โ€“ Lead Regional Commercial and Industrial Safety Systems Growth

The Opportunity

You will serve as a driving force for regional growth, connecting commercial and industrial clients with life-safety solutions. This role gives you the autonomy to manage client accounts while receiving full support from a dedicated, family-run leadership team. You will have direct access to company executives while scaling critical security and fire protection infrastructure.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Actively seek out and secure new commercial business opportunities through building owners and contractors.
  • Cultivate long-term customer relationships to maximize repeat business and client satisfaction.
  • Initiate tailored property maintenance programs to ensure client facilities remain fully code compliant.
  • Estimate exact job costs, design basic system layouts, and build detailed project budgets.
  • Generate and present professional technical proposals to high-level corporate decision makers.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and service teams to guarantee flawless project execution.
  • Track all client communications and sales pipeline metrics using the company operations software.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional sales experience within the commercial fire alarm and security industry including a proven track record of selling CCTV, access control, and fire sprinkler integrations to end users, GCโ€™s, property managers and more.
  • High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED).
  • In-depth understanding of industry-specific compliance codes, building regulations, and safety standards.
  • Absolute willingness to travel across the assigned regional territory up to 60% of the time.
  • Superior communication skills required to manage complex multi-party sales negotiations.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Proficiency utilizing ServiceTrade, QuickBooks, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat software.
  • Experience in estimating is a big plus.
  • Demonstrated history of designing custom layouts for complex commercial security systems.
  • Strong background handling long-term service contracts and preventive maintenance sales.
