Advanced Mulch, a Benchmark Company, based in Boynton Beach, Florida, is an installer of bulk landscape materials (mulch) who is seeking candidates for an open Business Development position. Candidates will be responsible for cultivating and growing relationships with partners who rely on a third party to perform mulch installation on their properties.


The successful candidate will be self-directed, possess high integrity and a strong work ethic. If you have strong character, sales aptitude and are familiar with the landscape contracting business or bulk organic materials, we are interested in talking to you!

The Landscape Materials Sales candidate promotes and is accountable for consistent sales growth and customer relationship management for the assigned territory. Sales growth should include new account development in addition to maintaining and building upon the existing customer relationships within our current service area.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business and overall sales growth
  • Conduct both phone and in-person outside sales calls with existing and potential customers
  • Track and assess current market conditions and products that are influential and beneficial for current and future business
  • Develop and present clear, effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
  • Maintain the customer database for existing and potential customers
  • Be proactive and strategic in managing the assigned territory and business

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience of sales or business development in a related industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Appropriate response to customer issues or complaints
  • Strong organizational skills
