Job description

We are seeking a Locums Neurosurgeon to join a collaborative surgical team in Sacramento, California. In this role, the physician will provide neurosurgical consultation and surgical care for acute cases presenting through the Emergency Department or transfer center.

The position focuses primarily on inpatient consultative services, with involvement in trauma and urgent neurosurgical cases. The physician will work closely with experienced emergency physicians, hospitalists, and a well-supported ICU team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Compensation: $3000 Per day

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide neurosurgical consultations for inpatient and acute admissions
  • Manage trauma and urgent neurosurgical cases as needed
  • Perform neurosurgical procedures when clinically indicated
  • Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, hospitalists, and ICU teams
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams
