Job description

Facility in Youngstown, OH seeking Neurosurgery locums coverage Rates: $3000 +$500/hr Opportunity Highlights
  • Schedule: 24-hour call, 1 week per month (Ongoing).
  • Specific Dates: March 3 March 10 (Priority need).
  • Clinical Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center & Primary Stroke Center.
  • Compensation: Competitive daily call rate + callback.
  • Support: 1 employed and 1 non-employed Neurosurgeon in practice; Neuro IR in-house.
  • EMR: Epic.
Clinical Scope & Responsibilities The physician will provide comprehensive neurosurgical support for adult and geriatric patients, primarily handling emergent cases through the Emergency Department. Required Neurosurgical Procedures:
  • Trauma & Critical Care: Trauma repair, brain bleed stoppage, clot removal, and intracranial pressure monitoring.
  • Tumor & General: Tumor removal and shunt insertion/revision.
  • Spine Surgery: Spinal Fusion, Laminectomy, and Diskectomy.
    • Spine Stabilization and Reconstruction.
    • Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty.
Provider Requirements
  • Board Status: Board Certified in Neurosurgery (Required).
  • Licensure: Active Ohio (OH) Medical License is mandatory (no exceptions).
  • Availability: Must be available for the March coverage window.
  • Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS (Required).
  • Submission Mandatory: A Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of the presentation is required at the time of submission.
