Job description

Facility in Rockford, IL seeking Neurosurgery locums coverage Rates: 400/hr clinic $2800/24 hour with 4 hour gratis. $430/hr Call-back. Opportunity Highlights
  • Flexible Scheduling: Preferred rotation of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, but the facility will consider providers with 1 week of availability.
  • Clinical Setting: Mix of 8-hour outpatient clinic days, inpatient rounding, and 24-hour trauma call.
  • Support: Dedicated NPs on-site from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM to assist with patient management.
  • EMR: Epic.
Case Mix & Procedures The workload consists of 100% adult patients with a focus on:
  • Bread-and-butter Neurosurgery: Degenerative spine, cranial procedures, and general neurosurgical consults.
  • Trauma Neurosurgery: Acute interventions required for a Level 1 Trauma Center, including intracranial pressure monitoring and emergency craniotomies.
  • Call Response: 24-hour call requires a 30-minute response time.
Provider Requirements
  • Credential: MD or DO.
  • Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of neurosurgical experience.
  • Licensure: Active Illinois State License is REQUIRED to apply.
  • Certifications: Active ACLS, BLS, DEA, and CSR.
  • Note: IMLC candidates will not be considered at this time.
Start Date
  • Target Start: April 1, 2026.
