Job description

Description

The Speech and Language Center in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing pediatric team! We are a comprehensive, multidisciplinary clinic offering Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and ABA services, allowing for truly collaborative, whole-child care.

The Speech and Language Center is proud to be part of Cicero Therapies, a family of pediatric therapy practices united by a shared commitment to providing exceptional care while investing in the clinicians who make that care possible. As a Public Benefit Company, Cicero Therapies measures success not only by business performance, but by the positive impact we have on children, families, team members, and the communities we serve. Our purpose is to help every child take their next steps while fostering a workplace where clinicians can learn, grow, and build meaningful careers.

About the Role

At The Speech and Language Center, we believe every child deserves to be understood, respected, and celebrated for who they are. Our therapists embrace a compassionate, child-led, neurodiversity-affirming approach that honors each child's unique strengths, interests, and communication style. We partner closely with families to create meaningful, individualized goals that support participation in everyday life-not just skill acquisition.

As a Pediatric SLP, you'll evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication disorders while collaborating with an exceptional team of SLPs, OTs, PTs, and BCBAs. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values relationship-based care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

What You'll Do

  • Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide engaging, evidence-based therapy that is child-led, family-centered, and neurodiversity-affirming.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and BCBAs to provide coordinated, whole-child care.
  • Educate and coach caregivers to support progress beyond the therapy session.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with families, referral sources, and fellow team members.
  • Participate in team meetings, continuing education opportunities, and community outreach initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Virginia SLP license (or eligibility).
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • A collaborative, compassionate clinician who values family-centered, neurodiversity-affirming care.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping children and families thrive.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Paid time off and holiday pay.
  • Continuing education support and professional development opportunities.
  • A collaborative, supportive team that values mentorship and clinical growth.
  • Beautiful clinic space with therapy gyms, shared resources, and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • The opportunity to be part of the larger Cicero Therapies network, connecting you with clinicians across multiple pediatric practices while maintaining the close-knit culture of a local clinic.

Our Interview Process

We care deeply about our team and the people who make it exceptional. Our interview process is designed to help you get to know us just as much as we get to know you.

The first step is a video or phone conversation with a member of our recruiting team. We encourage you to use this time to ask questions, learn about our culture, and determine whether The Speech and Language Center is the right fit for your professional goals.

Candidates selected to move forward will be invited for an in-person interview, where they'll meet members of our clinical team-your potential future coworkers-and may observe a therapy session. We want you to leave the interview with a clear understanding of our collaborative culture, clinical philosophy, and the meaningful impact our therapists make every day.

If you're looking for a practice that values compassionate, child-led care, embraces neurodiversity, believes in interdisciplinary collaboration, and is backed by a mission-driven organization committed to making a positive impact, we'd love to meet you.
