The Opportunity:
Serve as a trusted security advisor, designing and safeguarding network and system security across the enterprise. You’ll monitor threats, support incident response, and partner with stakeholders to deliver secure, business-aligned solutions using modern security frameworks and technologies.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted technical consultant across the enterprise, ensuring that security designs for systems align with business objectives, network architecture, and established technical standards.
  • Monitor and safeguard network infrastructure by analyzing traffic patterns, detecting anomalies, and investigating suspicious activity to proactively identify potential security breaches.
  • Support incident response efforts, assisting in the containment, remediation, and analysis of emerging and ongoing threats.
  • Design and recommend network security controls that address data protection requirements for newly developed or acquired systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into effective, secure technical solutions.
  • Stay current with evolving tools, techniques, and vulnerabilities, applying up-to-date knowledge to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience (5-8 years in information security, cybersecurity, or security operations).
Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, OWASP, and industry best practices.
  • Proven experience in incident response, including handling security events and delivering thorough post-incident analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security tools and the ability to provide ongoing support.
  • Skilled in vulnerability analysis, gap identification, and recommending remediation aligned with industry standards.
  • Hands-on experience with a broad range of security technologies, including EDR, vulnerability management, email security, WAF, network detection, firewalls, proxies, and more.
  • Solid grasp of network protocols and ports, with the ability to analyze and interpret network traffic.
  • Ability to champion and communicate security culture and awareness initiatives across the organization.
  • Track record of engaging in security projects and ensuring technology implementations meet security standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues across multiple technologies and deliver business-aligned solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments effectively.
  • Knowledge of Python and other scripting languages for automation and security tooling isconsidered an asset.
