Job description

USI/Asteelflash is actively looking for a highly organized and talented IT Intern to help support the IT activities at our location in Milpitas, CA. The IT Intern will assist the IT Department with various operational tasks.  

Candidates for this position will have hands on experience with IT systems and have exposure to cybersecurity and network management. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively with employees, management and customers and be able to work well within a team environment and always demonstrate personal integrity. The successful candidate will be able to easily work in a fast-paced environment and switch between tasks frequently.  
This position will require you to be onsite 100% of the time.

Responsibilities:
 Technical Support
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Help set up and configure computers, printers, and other devices
  • Respond to basic user support requests
 System and Network Assistance
  • Monitor system performance and report issues
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks
  • Help with network setup and connectivity checks
 Documentation
  • Maintain records of IT assets and inventory
  • Document technical procedures and solutions
  • Update user guides and manuals
 Security and Access
  • Support user account management (e.g., password resets)
  • Help enforce IT security policies
  • Assist with data backup and recovery processes
 Software and Tools
  • Help install and update software applications
  • Assist in testing new tools or features
  • Provide feedback on usability and performance
 Team Collaboration
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions
