Job description

Network Infrastructure Specialist

This role is responsible for network policy, governance, and compliance. It involves supporting, administrating, and overseeing network support. The role also includes design and analysis of new and existing architecture, routing/switching configuration, design, and compliance. It covers network related business continuity approaches, developing systems specifications, technical/procedural implementation plans, and coordinating complex projects with clients and vendors. The individual works with a team performing network design and support of new network and security architectures for "on premise" and Cloud networks.

Primary duties and responsibilities include overseeing the full lifecycle of network infrastructure, leading and coordinating network changes, collaborating with vendors, carriers, and engineering teams to resolve complex issues, providing strategic direction for network planning, maintaining up-to-date documentation, delivering on-call operational support, leading and coordinating the development, implementation, and management of policies, procedures, and controls, creating and managing Risk Intakes/Acceptance(s), leading and supporting Vulnerability Management efforts, maintaining an accurate inventory of Business Applications and Devices, performing compliance audits/validations, leading remediation efforts, and ensuring compliance.

Supervisory responsibilities include none.

Qualifications include excellent presentation skills, demonstrated capability to tailor communications, clear, concise and precise written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal, leadership, project management, and mentoring skills, a strong ability to use a solution-oriented approach towards problem resolution, and the ability to work independently and be a team player.

Technical skills include experience working in and developing solutions for a highly regulated environment, experience directing use of tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python, and Github, experience delivering Infrastructure as code, experience building cloud infrastructure in environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, knowledge of Controls, Risk Ranking/mapping, Remediation items, and general IT audit, understanding of NIST Special Publication 800-53 and COBIT framework, advanced experience with architecting, designing, deploying, and operating network elements, experience with Cisco IOS/NX-OS configurations, experience with GRC Technologies such as Archer, and experience with CIS Benchmarks.

Education and/or training include a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline, and 5+ years of experience in IT systems installation, operations, administration, and maintenance of virtualized servers / cloud systems.

Certifications include relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP or CCDP) equivalent field experience, AWS certifications such as DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, Advanced Networking, or Security, and Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer (CCIE) Certification.

Compensation includes a salary range of $108,600.00 - $154,500.00 and an incentive range of 8% to 15%.
