Compensation Range: Between $55,500 - $102,500 CDN annually

The Operations Engineering Network Engineering Associate is responsible for supporting and maintaining network infrastructure and computer-based equipment used in production, simulation, and testing environments. This role ensures reliable system connectivity, supports hardware integration, and contributes to the lifecycle management of network-enabled systems and components. The specialist acts as a key technical resource bridging production operations and engineering, ensuring network configurations and computing systems meet operational and project requirements. This role functions as an intermediate-level technical specialist, working with moderate autonomy while collaborating closely with senior engineering staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Support and maintain network infrastructure and computer-based equipment used in production, simulation, and testing environments
  • Configure and maintain networks for simulator systems and project environments
  • Set up and support remote access solutions (e.g., Microsoft Remote Desktop)
  • Install, configure, and support operating systems on computer-based equipment
  • Perform incoming inspection of computer-based equipment, including Panel PCs and interactive boards
  • Maintain, manage, and track project and simulation equipment throughout its lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot network, system, and connectivity issues in integrated environments
  • Support simulator projects by configuring systems, networks, and computing environments
  • Maintain and support obsolete or legacy components to ensure continued system operability
  • Archive technical documentation and images related to production equipment
  • Perform physical setup tasks, including lifting and positioning equipment, while following safety procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support system integration, validation, and acceptance activities

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network support, system integration, or IT infrastructure within an engineering or production environment
  • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting networked systems
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switching, and basic routing concepts
  • Experience configuring and supporting Windows operating systems
  • Familiarity with remote access tools such as Microsoft Remote Desktop
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation and engineering drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with moderate autonomy and collaboratively within a technical team
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written). The English language, in addition to French, is required to meet contractual requirements.
