As a manager of Network Infrastructure, you will define and lead the strategy, architecture, modernization, and operational performance of CAE's global enterprise network. This includes on-premises infrastructure at headquarters, training center networks, datacenter connectivity, and cloud networking across AWS and Azure. You will lead a high-performing team of networking experts, network architects, and network automation specialists, while working closely with a managed services provider that extends the team's delivery capacity.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can combine long-term vision with strong operational discipline, partner effectively across technology and business functions, and ensure the network remains a secure and reliable backbone for CAE's global operations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Define and execute the global network infrastructure strategy and roadmap across headquarters, training centers, datacenters, WAN, AWS, Azure, and edge environments.
  • Lead the operational performance of the network estate, ensuring high availability, resilience, scalability, and service excellence across global sites.
  • Drive modernization initiatives across routing and switching, wireless, SD-WAN, firewalls, segmentation, observability, and network automation.
  • Build, lead, and develop a strong team of networking professionals, including networking experts, network architects, and network automation specialists.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, and regional IT stakeholders to align network services with business priorities, security requirements, and future-state architecture.
  • Establish governance, service metrics, escalation paths, and operational standards that improve reliability, responsiveness, and accountability.
  • Own the network infrastructure operating and capital budgets, and manage key vendor, telecom, hardware, and managed service relationships.
  • Provide leadership during major incidents, critical escalations, and significant infrastructure transitions or cutovers.

Mimimum Qualifications


  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking and infrastructure leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience leading managers or senior technical teams in a global, multi-site environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is an asset.
  • Bilingual - French-English.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, wireless, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, datacenter networking, and next-generation firewalls.
  • Strong experience with hybrid cloud networking and integration across on-premises environments, AWS, and Azure.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong understanding of network security architecture, segmentation, compliance controls, and audit-ready operational practices.
  • Proven track record leading modernization, lifecycle management, automation, and operational improvement initiatives in mission-critical environments.
  • Experience working with managed services providers and strategic technology vendors in a complex enterprise setting.
  • Strong executive communication, financial management, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, or equivalent are considered an asset.
