Job description

Purpose

The Senior Network Engineer designs, implements, and supports enterprise network infrastructure across Roseburg. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center networks, while contributing to the evolution of network architecture and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, install, support and maintain physical IT related infrastructure including Cisco network switches, routers
  • Design, install, support and maintain advanced collaboration tools such as Cisco CUCM, Webex, and Video Conferencing Endpoints
  • Design, install, support and maintain complex LAN and WAN infrastructure including Cisco software defined network (SDN) architectures
  • Design, install, support and maintain Cisco Wireless LAN technologies
  • Design, install, support and maintain network security infrastructure.Prefer experience with Cisco ISE as well as Cisco and Palo Alto security appliances
  • Understands and integrates state-of-the-art technology hardware and software components associated with Roseburg
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Develop technical solutions
  • Conduct system analysis using appropriate analysis models and tools
  • Conduct site surveys as required
  • Monitor the Service Desk trouble ticket tracking system and provide Tier 3 support as needed.
  • Move and/or unbox new equipment, mount racking servers, helping other Engineers with cabling, and support the installation and maintenance of data center power and cool infrastructure.
  • Provide On call support 24/7/365

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, and 6 years of experience in networking, LAN/WAN, and communications or an equivalent amount of training, education, and experience
