Digital Consultants seeks a Network Specialist IV to support the United States Army West Desert Test Center (WDTC) Data Science Division (DSD) Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) contract at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), Utah. The Network Specialist IV supports the administration, operation, maintenance, and security of enterprise network infrastructure supporting WDTC operations. This position provides technical expertise for network monitoring, network management, boundary protection, connectivity services, and cybersecurity compliance to ensure reliable, secure, and available Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD), Army, and local requirements.
Location: Dugway, UT
Duties to include:
  • Support administration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Support network monitoring, performance management, and availability of network services.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices.
  • Support boundary protection, network security, and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
  • Monitor network performance and assist with identification and resolution of connectivity issues.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of network security controls and security configurations.
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and security configurations.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation and corrective action activities affecting network infrastructure.
  • Support installation, upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh efforts for network systems.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, inventories, and technical records.
  • Support configuration management and change management activities.
  • Coordinate with systems administrators, cybersecurity personnel, application developers, and Government stakeholders to support mission requirements.
  • Support continuity of operations, disaster recovery, and restoration activities.
  • Provide technical support for WDTC testing, operational, and mission requirements.

Requirements
  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance required. Must possess a Tier 3 (T3/T3R) or higher investigation. Personnel assigned duties involving administration of classified systems/networks or designated critical-sensitive or special-sensitive positions must meet applicable Tier 5 (T5/T5R) investigation and SCI eligibility requirements.
  • Certifications:
    • IAT III, One baseline cert: CISSP/Associate, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CASP CE, CCNP Security, or CASP+ CE
    • One CE/relevant cert: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCAR, MCPS, MCAS, FSCA, FSAA, or FSCE.
  • Education: HS Diploma
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure, network operations, or network administration.
    • Experience supporting routers, switches, firewalls, network monitoring, and network management activities.
    • Experience troubleshooting network connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
    • Experience supporting network security controls, STIG compliance, and vulnerability remediation activities.
    • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology environments.
    • Experience supporting classified information systems, NIPRNet, and SIPRNet environments preferred.
    • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently.
  • Physical Requirements: The candidate must be able to travel to other worksites as required and with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to sit, stand, use computers and monitors, and perform duties in an office environment for extended periods. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion (e.g., moving a case of paper or similar task) that may occur occasionally.
